Who Is Astaroth Fighter
Astaroth Fighters are the cult's line troops — cultists who grieved past despair into rage. They anchor the mob, drag stragglers back into the fray with hurled chains, and grow stronger with every kill. They are the wall between the party and the knights.

CR 3 · 700 XP · GUIDELINEGrief-Fed Fury. When the Fighter reduces a creature to 0 hit points, it gains 5 temporary hit points and its next attack this turn has advantage.
Actions
Multiattack. The Fighter makes two Grief-Iron Cleaver attacks.
Grief-Iron Cleaver. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Hurled Chain. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage, and a Large or smaller target is pulled 10 feet toward the Fighter.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Astaroth Fighter?
At its native tier Astaroth Fighter is CR 3. Scale the AC, HP, to-hit, and save DC to the tier line matching your party's level.
How does Astaroth Fighter fight in its legion?
It is the legion's line trooper — it anchors the cultist mob, chains stragglers back into melee, and snowballs temp HP and advantage off kills.
What keeps an Astaroth Fighter dangerous?
Grief-Fed Fury — every creature it drops feeds it temporary hit points and advantage, so a Fighter left to farm downed PCs or summoned minions becomes hard to put down. Deny it easy kills.
