Who Is Boar Warrior
Warriors are the front rank of the Army of Caledonian Boar, the line that meets the enemy shield-to-shield after the Barbarians have cracked them open. Steadier than the ragers and faster than the Defenders, they are the host's true fighting weight, drilled to keep formation while they hew. A Warrior's axe comes down in the same overhead arc a thousand times a battle, and the plate it wears is scored with the shallow answering cuts of foes who did not swing fast enough. They fight best in a solid file, each Warrior's flank guarded by the next, and their discipline is what turns a boar charge from a mob into an army. Where the Warriors hold, the line holds.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
A scaled-down line-fighter: keep it shoulder to shoulder with one or two allies and swing the axe at whoever the file surrounds. Shield Slam a caster to deny reactions. It holds formation rather than chasing.
The fighting weight of the boar line. Pack Warriors in a file so Battle-Line Discipline gives advantage on any surrounded target, and stack both axe hits for Overhead Cleave. Use Hold the Line to trap fleeing prey. They keep formation; they do not peel off to duel.
Run a rank of Warriors as the host's main line, filling behind the Defenders and ahead of the Cannoneer. They grind whatever the charge pins, deny escape, and shut down reactions. Their whole strength is the file; a lone Warrior is just a soldier out of place.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Boar Warrior?
At its native Tier 2 it is CR 6 (2,300 XP). Scale the AC, HP, to-hit, and save DC to the Tier 1 or Tier 3 line for other party levels.
How does Boar Warrior fight alongside the rest of the Army of Caledonian Boar?
It is the disciplined front line. Warriors form the file that meets the enemy after the Barbarians break them open, holding formation behind the Defenders and grinding down whatever the charge pins, gaining advantage whenever a target is surrounded.
How many Boar Warriors should a warband field?
They are line troops meant for numbers. A file of three or four Warriors is the backbone of a boar-host encounter, since their Battle-Line Discipline and combo damage scale sharply when they fight packed together rather than spread out.
