Lorraine
beast-borne war-matron of Lilith's daughters
Lorraine — The Encounter
beast-borne war-matron of Lilith's daughters · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Lorraine
Lorraine alone among the daughters rides to war, her scaled mount bred from the things that nest beneath Lilith's roosts. She carries the warband's standard, and where it leads the flock follows without question, striking as one the instant she points it. The other sisters fight as scattered talons; Lorraine is the fist that closes them. Her trampling charge breaks a line and her commands turn a swarm into an army. The grimoires name her the War-Matron, and warn that to face the Daughters of Lilith with Lorraine at their head is to face not a flock of hunters but a disciplined host with a single, merciless will.
Run Lorraine in Sixty Seconds
- Charge to trample then a 20-ft mounted charge with the Standard knocks the target prone.
- She is the standard then keep sisters within 30 ft so they get advantage on their first attack.
- Spend legendaries then Wheel About and Command the Brood let her and her flock act out of turn—run her as the boss.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
As the only mounted leader, Lorraine commands from the front: trample-charge a line prone, then Rally and command sisters to pile on. She can anchor a fight herself if needed.
Open by trampling the front rank prone and raising the standard for the flock's advantage; use Rally the Flock to chain extra attacks. She can solo at this tier with her legendary actions.
Lead the whole warband: charge, prone, and use legendary actions to keep the brood swinging out of turn. She is the host's will—run her as a true boss with the flock around her.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.
