Dukit
lean broad-winged skirmisher who circles before he stoops
Dukit — The Encounter
lean broad-winged skirmisher who circles before he stoops · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Dukit
Dukit is one of the lighter brood that answers the old watcher-lord's call, born thin and quick where his kin grew heavy. His tainted blood gave him broad feathered wings and the patience of a circling raptor. In the host he plays the harrier, never trading blows toe to toe but stooping in to rake an exposed flank, then climbing away before retaliation lands. He thrives on the warband's pressure: where his heavier kin pin a foe, Dukit falls on it from above with savage advantage. Alone he is a nuisance that flits and bleeds; within the flight he becomes the talon that finds every gap the line opens.
Run Dukit in Sixty Seconds
- Stay airborne then circle and only drop when there is an exposed target.
- Pile on the pinned then attack whatever a fellow Fallen Watcher is already on for Pack Stoop advantage.
- Flurry and leave then triple-claw and use Flyby to climb out untouched.
- Veer when hit then spend the reaction to slide half your fly speed away from whoever damaged you.
- Don't anchor a line then leave the holding to heavier kin and keep harrying flanks.
Dukit
Medium fiend, chaotic evil
CR 6 · 2,300 XP · GUIDELINEFlyby. Dukit does not provoke opportunity attacks when he flies out of an enemy's reach.
Pack Stoop (Signature). Dukit has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one other Fallen Watcher is within 5 feet of that creature.
Actions
Multiattack. Dukit makes three Raking Claw attacks.
Raking Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.
Bonus Actions & Reactions
Veer Off. When Dukit takes damage from a creature he can see, he can move up to half his flying speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
He never lands while there is a target in the open. Dukit wheels overhead, picking the moment a foe turns its back, then drops in a flurry of talons.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Run Dukit as the airborne harrier of a small fallen patrol. Have a heavier kinsman engage first, then stoop on that same target for Pack Stoop advantage and climb away with Flyby. Never let him stand and trade.
His native tier; fly him as a skirmisher in a flight of Fallen Watchers. Each turn pick the foe a kinsman is already engaging, triple-claw it with advantage, then Veer Off when struck. He is the gap-finder, not the anchor.
Attach him to a larger warband as a flanking specialist. Let the brood pin the priority target, then Dukit dives in for advantaged claws and bounces between marks. He always works the edges of the fight beside his kin, never alone.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Dukit?
Dukit is CR 6 (2,300 XP) at his native Tier 2, with Tier 1 (~CR 2) and Tier 3 (~CR 11) lines for fitting weaker or stronger Fallen Watcher flights.
How does Dukit fight alongside the rest of the Fallen Watchers?
He is the flight's harrier. Heavier kin pin foes in place; Dukit circles, then stoops on those pinned targets for advantage via Pack Stoop, rakes them, and peels away before they can answer.
Should Dukit ever fight solo?
No. He has no legendary actions and his Pack Stoop edge depends on allies, so he is a true skirmisher who must operate as part of the warband.
