Clover
lotus-throned kit-oracle and heart of the warren
Clover — The Encounter
lotus-throned kit-oracle and heart of the warren · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Clover
Every warren keeps one small heart it will not spend, and for the Lunar Cottontails that heart is Clover. Carried into the field upon a golden lotus seat, the kit-oracle does not strike, she steadies, mending wounds and singing the warren-hymn that keeps the flock from breaking. The Cottontails fight as one body precisely because Clover is its calm center: wardens hold knowing she will not let them fall, skirmishers dart knowing she will draw them back from the brink. The flock guards her with their lives, and she returns those lives one breath at a time. To scatter the Lunar Cottontails, an enemy must first reach Clover, and the whole warren stands between.
Run Clover in Sixty Seconds
- Open from the back then sing Lunar Hymn so the whole flock gets temp HP and a free shuffle.
- Every turn heal then use Moon's Blessing to mend or cleanse the ally hurting most.
- Set up a kill then hit a foe with Soothing Light so the next ally to strike adds radiant.
- Blunt the big hit then spend Ward the Kit to cut damage to a nearby ally.
- Never get caught then stay behind the wardens, the warren dies before Clover does.
Clover
Small fey, neutral good
CR 2 · 450 XP · GUIDELINESerene Heart. Clover has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, and cannot be put to sleep by magic.
Moon's Blessing (signature). At the start of each of Clover's turns, one ally she can see within 30 feet regains 4 (1d6+1) hit points or ends one of the following effects on itself: frightened, charmed, or poisoned. While Clover is conscious, allies within 15 feet have advantage on death saving throws.
Actions
Soothing Light. Ranged Spell Attack: +5 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8+3) radiant damage, and the next ally to hit that target before the end of Clover's next turn deals an extra 3 (1d6) radiant damage.
Lunar Hymn (recharge 5–6). Clover sings a verse of the warren-hymn. Each ally within 20 feet gains 5 (1d8+1) temporary hit points and may immediately move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
Bonus Actions & Reactions
Ward the Kit (reaction). When an ally Clover can see within 15 feet is hit by an attack, Clover reduces the damage to that ally by 5 (1d6+2).
A tiny white kit perched serene atop a golden lotus vessel, swaddled in jade and crimson robes, eyes calm and bright as a full moon.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Stay deep behind the wardens, never in melee. Each turn use Moon's Blessing to heal or cleanse whoever is hurting, and Soothing Light to set up a kill for an ally. Spend Ward the Kit to blunt the worst hit. She supports, the warren protects her, never run her solo.
Same support role, scaled up. Lead with Lunar Hymn before a clash to hand out temp HP and reposition the flock, then heal and cleanse each turn. Keep Starshine's line between you and the enemy at all times.
Fight as the protected heart of a full warren warband, never alone. Sustain the line with Moon's Blessing and the hymn, ward the most threatened ally, and let the entire warren screen you.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Clover?
Clover is CR 2 (450 XP) at her native Tier 1. Tier 2 (~CR 6) and Tier 3 (~CR 11) stat lines let her support a higher-level warband, though her role never changes.
How does Clover fight alongside the rest of the Lunar Cottontails?
She is the warren's healer and heart, carried on a lotus throne behind the line. She mends and cleanses allies, hands out temporary hit points with the warren-hymn, and wards the most threatened, while the wardens and skirmishers keep every enemy away from her.
Is Clover a solo boss?
No. solo_capable is false, she has no legendary actions, and she barely attacks. She only works inside a Lunar Cottontails warband that screens her, never as a standalone encounter.
