Geiravor
crested spear-sentinel anchoring the Valkyrian shield-wall
Geiravor — The Encounter
crested spear-sentinel anchoring the Valkyrian shield-wall · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Geiravor
Geiravor's name carries the spear in it, and the Maidens of Valkyria post her wherever the line must not break. While the swift sisters dive and wheel, Geiravor stands rooted, her long spear sweeping a wall of reach no foe crosses cleanly. Anything that lurches into her range is checked, stopped dead in the dirt, while her steadiness keeps the maidens beside her from being thrown or scattered. She is the anchor the rest of the flight pivots around, the still point in the storm of wings. Skalds say a host that breaks against Geiravor's spear has already lost, for the rest of the warband simply pours through the breach she refuses to yield.
Run Geiravor in Sixty Seconds
- Plant in front of the flight then Spear-Wall Sentinel stops any foe that enters your 10-foot reach.
- Keep sisters within 10 feet then Hold the Line denies forced movement and Bracing Step stops knockdowns.
- Open by halting the closest attacker then the warband punishes it while its speed is 0.
- Never chase then hold the anchor and let the flight pour through the breach you keep open.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Geiravor plants in front of a small flight and uses Spear-Wall Sentinel to stop the first foe that closes. She holds her ground rather than chasing. She anchors the warband and never fights apart from it.
Position Geiravor where enemies must approach the flight, then punish every entry into her 10-foot reach by halting it with Spear-Wall Sentinel. Keep sisters within 10 feet so Hold the Line and Bracing Step shield them. She is the warband's anchor, not a chaser.
Set Geiravor as the immovable wall the warband fights behind: stop every approaching enemy, brace allies against prone, and deny forced movement with Hold the Line. She has no legendary actions and holds position, fighting as the pivot of the flight rather than ever advancing alone.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Geiravor?
Geiravor is CR 6 at her native Tier 2 (AC 18, HP 127), a defensive spear-anchor elite. The tier tables scale her toward CR 2 for low play and CR 11 for high tables.
How does Geiravor fight alongside the rest of the Maidens of Valkyria?
She is the flight's anchor. Her reach-spear walls off approaches and halts intruders, while Hold the Line and Bracing Step keep nearby sisters from being thrown or knocked down, giving the warband a fixed point to pivot around.
Can Geiravor be run solo?
No. She has no legendary actions and her kit is built to protect a line of sisters. Alone she is just a sturdy spear-fighter, so she should always be fielded with the warband.
