Reginleif
many-winged spear-maiden weaving the fates of the slain
Reginleif — The Encounter
many-winged spear-maiden weaving the fates of the slain · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Reginleif
Reginleif's name is read as 'heir of the gods,' and she carries herself like one who reads the threads of who shall die today. Borne on a crown of many wings, she dances at the edge of the killing where the spear can reach but the foe cannot pin her. Each touch of her point lays a doom-mark on a warrior, and the rest of the Maidens of Valkyria know to strike that one next; the marked falls fast and hard. She is the flight's chooser, the one whose spear says die, while her whirling feathers keep her forever just out of the enemy's grasp. Without the warband to answer her marks, her judgement goes unfulfilled.

- Skirmish at the edge then Whirl of Wings and Fate's Step keep her out of reach.
- Never get pinned then bonus-action Disengage and let the warband do the killing.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Reginleif flits at the flank of a small flight, jabbing a foe to lay a Fate-Mark, then sliding away with Fate's Step. Call out the marked target so a sister finishes it. She fights with the warband, never alone.
Open each turn by marking the most dangerous enemy with Fate-Marked Spear so a sister hits it with advantage and bonus radiant. Use Whirl of Wings and Fate's Step to stay loose at the skirmish edge. She is a marker and skirmisher, not a brawler.
Run Reginleif as the warband's target-caller: mark a priority foe every round and let the flight collapse on it with advantage. Disengage with Fate's Step whenever pressed. She is fragile alone and wins only as part of the warband.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Reginleif?
Reginleif is CR 6 at her native Tier 2 (AC 16, HP 110), a skirmishing target-marker elite. The tier tables scale her toward CR 2 for low play and CR 11 for high tables.
How does Reginleif fight alongside the rest of the Maidens of Valkyria?
She is the flight's chooser. Her spear lays a doom-mark that lets the next sister strike the target with advantage and extra radiant, so she decides who the warband kills next while staying loose at the edge.
Can Reginleif solo a party?
No. She has no legendary actions and her marks only matter if allies follow up. Pulled alone she is a fragile skirmisher and is meant to be faced amid her sisters.
