Nekhbet — The Encounter

Who Is Nekhbet
Nekhbet is the beast that bears Agares into the world: a colossal carrion-vulture chained to a god's reliquary, ridden by a bound herald. It opens battles with a stooping dive that flattens a formation, then pins prey in its talons for the legion to finish. Kill it and Agares must find another road.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Nekhbet?
At its native tier Nekhbet is CR 10. Scale the AC, HP, to-hit, and save DC to the tier line matching your party's level.
How does Nekhbet fight in its legion?
It is the legion's flying boss-mount — it dives to scatter and knock prone, grapples prey in its talons, and the tomb it bears keeps the herald anchored against banishment.
How do you ground Nekhbet?
It relies on fly 80 and Stooping Dive for its best turns — restrain, grapple, or difficult-air effects blunt it, and destroying the chained reliquary strips its wards against banishment and charm, opening the herald to removal.
