Boom Boom
leaping powder-bruiser of the panda village-guard
Boom Boom — The Encounter
leaping powder-bruiser of the panda village-guard · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Boom Boom
Boom Boom is the panda village-guard's shock-bruiser, a barrel-bodied warrior who carries festival fire-powder into war. He lobs a crackling flask to scatter a clump of enemies, then leaps off his planted feet to land club-first amid the chaos. The village's fireworks artisans taught him to mix the powder; the guard taught him where to throw it. He works in lockstep with the wall, opening holes that the brawlers and spear-pandas pour into. Stout as a temple drum and twice as loud, he cannot be easily knocked from his line. Children of the village still flinch at the smell of his powder.
Run Boom Boom in Sixty Seconds
- Open with the Powder Flask then everyone in a 5-ft. radius makes a DC 15 Dex save or takes 3d6 fire.
- Then Crashing Leap in then the first foe he hits takes an extra 2d6 bludgeoning.
- Don't try to shove him then Stout Hide gives advantage to stay in his lane.
- When bloodied spend the last flask on the tightest cluster and dive in.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Lob a Powder Flask into a cluster, then leap in club-first while the survivors are scattered. Keep him beside the warband so the brawlers exploit the gap he opens. He is a shock element of the guard, never a solo bomber.
Open with the Powder Flask on the densest knot of foes for AoE, then use Crashing Leap to land on a survivor for bonus damage. Stout Hide keeps him from being shoved out of position. Coordinate his leap with Bo Bo's herding so the whole cluster eats both.
Boom Boom becomes the warband's bunker-buster, softening clustered ranks for the village-guard to crash through. He times his leaps to the wall's advance, never freelancing. Keep allies ready to follow the hole he blows open.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Boom Boom is CR 6 (2,300 XP) at his native Tier 2, with Tier 1 and Tier 3 scalings provided.
How does Boom Boom fight alongside the rest of the PON Village?
He is the warband's shock element: he scatters clustered enemies with fire-powder and crashes in club-first to open a hole the village-guard pours through. He fights with the wall, not solo.
Is Boom Boom a boss?
No. He is an elite bruiser-bomber with no legendary actions. Use him to break formations for the rest of the warband.
