Lotso
fur-mantled war-veteran of the road-folk
Lotso — The Encounter
fur-mantled war-veteran of the road-folk · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Lotso
Lotso has marched with the Bobbits longer than most of them have been alive, and the wandering folk treat his word as law in a fight. His great double axe is notched once for every season on the road, and his fur mantle is stitched from beasts the band brought down together. Where younger Bobbits charge and leap, Lotso plants himself at the center of the line and steadies everyone around him, his Veteran's Rally turning frightened recruits back into a wall. He fights without flourish, trading blows until the enemy tires, and he spends as much breath ordering his kin as swinging his axe. To the Bobbits he is the living memory of the road, proof that a small folk who keeps formation can outlast almost anything.
Run Lotso in Sixty Seconds
- Center him then keep Lotso amid the warband so the Rally aura covers the most Bobbits.
- Open by anchoring then trade steady blows beside the shield-bearer.
- Reposition allies then use Hold the Line to slide a struggling Bobbit to safety.
- When bloodied then hold the center anyway, since the aura matters more than his axe.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Place Lotso at the center of the warband; his Rally aura keeps fragile Bobbits steady and boosts their damage. Open by anchoring near Ringo and use Hold the Line to reposition a struggling ally.
Use him as the warband's veteran backbone, not the anchor-tank. He fights steadily while his aura props up the whole line of Bobbits around him.
In a full Bobbit pack he is the steadying officer, not a solo. Keep him central so the aura covers the most kin and chain Hold the Line to reposition strikers.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Lotso?
Lotso is CR 2 at his native Tier 1 (AC 14, 58 HP). Scale to AC 16/135 HP for Tier 2 or AC 18/215 HP for Tier 3.
How does Lotso fight alongside the rest of the Bobbits?
He is the veteran backbone, standing central so his Rally aura keeps the warband fearless and hitting harder while he repositions struggling kin.
Is Lotso a solo boss?
No. His strength is the buff aura over the whole Bobbit line; alone he is just a sturdy axeman.
