Dread in the shape of a nun. She is called the Unblinking Sun because she does not blink — she does not open her eyes at all. She looked once, at what the sky keeps, and closed them, and has kept them closed ever since, and sees more with them shut than the whole Order sees with theirs open. 'She opened them' is the one legible line of her inked-out ordination record — and the last time she did.
