The Bound Choir
Seere’s scattered voice. Still trying to finish the first word.
The Lore of the Bound Choir
A Prince of the Ars Goetia does not speak with one voice. He speaks with the weight of legions. But Seere moves too fast for sound to follow. His words scatter behind him like seeds, landing in places he has already left.
The Bound Choir gathered those scattered words. It is not one being — it is many, bound together by the residue of Seere’s speech. Each figure in the Choir holds a different syllable, a different command, a different whisper. Together, they form the sentences Seere never finished.
They do not sing for beauty. They sing to complete what was started. Every hymn is a sentence Seere began and abandoned. Every harmony is a promise he made too fast to keep. The Choir remembers every word. It is still trying to finish the first one.
Role in the Court
The Bound Choir is a Custodian — the rank that sees (and hears) for the Prince. Where the Witness perceives in silence, the Choir perceives through sound. It holds the acoustic memory of Seere’s reign — every command, every decree, every whispered negotiation with other spirits.
The Choir is also the only member of the Court that can approximate Seere’s authority. When it sings in unison — when all the scattered syllables align for a single moment — the sound is indistinguishable from Seere’s own voice. In those moments, even the other spirits of the Ars Goetia obey. They cannot tell the difference. Neither can the Choir.
