Half-Snake Female Fighter
Half-Snake Female Fighter — The Encounter
Twin-blade daughter of the serpent-folk, coiled and quick · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Half-Snake Female Fighter
The serpent-folk are old, older than the kingdoms that fear them, and their warrior-daughters are raised to the blade before they are raised to speech. This one is a temple-guardian of the coiled houses, sworn to the keeping of a sunken shrine where her people first shed their human skins. She fights as the serpent strikes: a long still patience, then a blur of two scimitars and a lash of muscle no plate can withstand. Her kind hold to ancient law and ancient oaths, and a debt sworn to one of the serpent-daughters is honored unto death. Travelers who keep faith with her may find a fierce and tireless ally; those who break a pact she has witnessed learn that the serpent's memory is long and her venom-quick blades longer. Where she goes, lesser scale-kin gather to her banner, and the shrine she defends has not been breached in a thousand turning years.
Run Half-Snake Female Fighter in Sixty Seconds
- Open with the charge. Move 20+ feet straight at the softest target, hit with a scimitar to trigger Serpentine Charge: +2d8 slashing and a DC 15 prone save before you even Multiattack.
- Kill-priority is healers and casters. Her speed and climb mean nowhere is safe; ignore the tank and slither past to the backline.
- Constrict to control. One scimitar swing becomes a grapple that drags a key PC away from the fight, restrained until they break free against DC 15.
- When bloodied, kite. Use Slippery Coils and her three movement modes to disengage, climb a wall, and re-charge from a new angle rather than trading blows.
- Three ways to run her: temple-guardian ally who honors a sworn debt; serpent-warband captain leading scale-kin minions; or a flanking skirmisher paired with a heavier boss to split the party's attention.
Half-Snake Female Fighter
Large monstrosity, lawful neutral
CR 6 · 2,300 XP · GUIDELINESerpentine Charge. If the fighter moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a scimitar attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 9 (2d8) slashing damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Slippery Coils. The fighter has advantage on ability checks and saving throws made to escape a grapple or to avoid being restrained, and difficult terrain doesn't slow her climbing or swimming.
Actions
Multiattack. The fighter makes three scimitar attacks, or two scimitar attacks and one Constrict.
Scimitar. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.
Constrict. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one Medium or smaller creature. Hit: 9 (1d8+4) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained and the fighter can't constrict another target.
Bonus Actions & Reactions
Coiled Strike (Reaction). When a creature the fighter can see moves within 5 feet of her, she can make one scimitar attack against it.
A serpent-folk duelist rears from her glittering coils, a curved blade flashing in each hand, the scaled length of her tail braced like a spring ready to launch.
Half-Snake Female Fighter, Bound
Companion · acts on your initiative
Bound · GUIDELINEPack Tactics (signature). Half-Snake Female Fighter has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the fighter's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and isn't incapacitated.
Actions
Fang. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage.
Reactions
Coil Guard. When the fighter is hit by a melee attack while Half-Snake Female Fighter is within 5 feet of her, Half-Snake Female Fighter can impose disadvantage on that attack roll by lashing at the attacker.
A great scaled serpent that winds at her side, eyes lidless and patient, striking only when she wills it.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Open by sliding 20+ feet into the squishiest target so Serpentine Charge drops them prone, then carve with two scimitars. Use Coiled Strike to punish the first foe who steps adjacent. Pair her with a heavier brute or a caster so the party can't simply gang the lone serpent.
Lead with Serpentine Charge into the backline, knock the target prone, and Multiattack. Grapple a key foe with Constrict to drag them away from healing, holding them restrained while your minions pile on. Kill-priority is enemy healers and ranged casters; she's an add-on skirmisher, so run her alongside a bigger boss or her serpent lair.
Use her speed to dart between targets, charging a fresh victim each round and keeping Coiled Strike up for anyone who closes. Constrict the hardest-hitting melee PC and pull them out of formation. She shines as the captain of a serpent-folk warband or paired with a larger threat, never solo against a full party.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Half-Snake Female Fighter?
Natively CR 6 (Tier 2, ~levels 5-10), a 123 HP dual-blade skirmisher. The Tier 1 and Tier 3 columns rescale the same kit to CR 2 and CR 11 bands so you can drop her into any table.
Can Half-Snake Female Fighter be a companion or ally?
Yes. The serpent-folk honor sworn oaths, so a party that keeps faith with her gains a fierce duelist who clears flanking enemies and grapples threats off the squishies. The block ships with a bound serpent, Sress, if you want her to arrive with backup.
Is she solo boss material?
No. She's an add-on skirmisher with no legendary actions, so a four-PC party out-acts her if she fights alone. Run her with minions, in her shrine lair, or alongside a bigger flagship threat.
