Jezebel
Jezebel — The Encounter
Horned temptress-queen who collects the souls she ruins · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Jezebel
When the rebel angels broke against the floor of the Abyss, some did not crawl out as warriors but as seducers. Jezebel rose from her crater wearing the scar of her fall as a diadem, and learned that a kingdom of the willing is harder to break than one of the chained. She does not storm the gates of mortal hearts; she is invited in. Each soul that pledges itself to her is woven into the living throne beneath her, and there it remains — climbing, reaching, never arriving — feeding her the devotion it can no longer withdraw. The horned crown above her brow is no ornament but a sigil-halo, a mockery of the grace she lost, and through it she drinks the worship of the damned. Princes of Hell speak of her with contempt and unease alike, for armies she has none, yet no fortress she sets her gaze upon has ever held its garrison loyal for long.
Run Jezebel in Sixty Seconds
- She is a face, not a fist. Jezebel wins by turning the party against itself — keep her at range and airborne, never trading blows.
- Open with Hollow Caress. Charm the biggest melee threat round one, then Whispered Command makes them attack their friends every turn.
- Kill-priority for the players: drop her fast or free the charmed ally — every round she's up, Crown of Ruined Souls heals her and chips the charmed PC.
- When bloodied, she retreats to within 30 ft. of a charmed creature, leans on Veil of Allure to misdirect attackers, and stalls until Hollow Caress recharges.
- Three ways to run her: seductive court intriguer who never fights openly; soul-collector lieutenant beside a Prince of Hell; or a corrupting trap where a beloved NPC is already hers.
Jezebel
Medium fiend (devil), lawful evil
CR 6 · 2,300 XP · GUIDELINEMagic Resistance. Jezebel has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Crown of Ruined Souls. (signature) The damned bound to Jezebel's throne feed on devotion. When a creature that is charmed by her starts its turn within 30 feet of her, she regains 7 (2d6) hit points, and that creature takes 7 (2d6) psychic damage as her crown drinks its will.
Actions
Multiattack. Jezebel makes two Raking Claw attacks. She can replace one with Hollow Caress if it is available.
Raking Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8+3) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage.
Hollow Caress (Recharge 5–6). Jezebel touches one creature within 5 feet. The target must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) psychic damage and being charmed by her until the end of its next turn on a failure, or half as much damage and no charm on a success.
Bonus Actions & Reactions
Whispered Command (Bonus Action). Jezebel targets one creature she has charmed within 60 feet. It must use its reaction to move up to its speed and make one weapon attack against a creature of her choice.
Veil of Allure (Reaction). When a creature she can see attacks her, Jezebel can force that creature to make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the attack is made against a different target of her choice within range, if any.
A bull-horned infernal queen crowned in a golden sigil-halo, bat wings flung wide, perched on a throne of twisted roots where the souls she seduced still climb and grovel.
Jezebel, Bound
Companion · acts on your initiative

Actions
Clutching Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage, and the target's speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of its next turn.
Reactions
Shield Her Mistress. When Jezebel takes damage from an attack while Jezebel is within 5 feet of her, Jezebel can take the damage instead.
A ruined soul that climbed the throne so faithfully it became part of it — half servant, half furniture, wholly hers.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Open with Hollow Caress on the loudest melee fighter, then peel it onto the party with Whispered Command. Stay airborne and let the charmed PC do your dirty work. Pair her with a heavier devil — she is the temptress piece, not the wall.
Open with Hollow Caress to charm, then Whispered Command turns that ally into your frontline every round while Crown of Ruined Souls keeps you topped off. Kill-priority is whoever can break charms (cleric, paladin) — send the charmed PC at them. Use Veil of Allure to dodge the first big hit. Best run alongside a Lucifer or pit-fiend tier boss as the soul-stealing lieutenant.
Lead with two charms across two rounds to flip a second front, then ride Crown of Ruined Souls for free healing and party-wide attrition. Focus the controller or anyone with Protection from Evil up. She still wants a bigger boss beside her — give her a devil retinue to bodyguard while she works the minds.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Jezebel?
Natively CR 6 (2,300 XP) as a Tier 2 add-on. Scale her down to roughly CR 2 for Tier 1 parties or up to about CR 11 for Tier 3 using the tier block numbers — traits and actions stay identical, only AC, HP, to-hit, and DC move.
Can Jezebel be a companion or ally?
Not as a player ally — she is lawful evil and bends allies into thralls, not friends. Her throne-bound soul Sere is the companion stat block, a charm-immune bodyguard who can soak hits meant for her. If you want Jezebel herself on the party's side, run her as a treacherous patron who always collects.
Does she need to be a solo boss?
No — she is built as a lieutenant. With no legendary actions she folds against a full party alone, but beside a flagship devil (Lucifer, a pit fiend) she becomes a nightmare, flipping a PC every round while the boss applies pressure.
