Dalikmata
Dalikmata — The Encounter
Many-Eyed Goddess of Sight, who heals and unblinds the faithful · a boss your table can run with almost no prep. SRD 5.1-compatible.
Who Is Dalikmata
Among the spirits of the islands, none see as the Many-Eyed One sees. The grimoires of the babaylan name her Dalikmata, she to whom the sightless and the eye-sick are carried, that her hundred gazes might burn away the cloud upon a mortal's vision. She is invoked at dawn over basins of water, where offerings of woven cloth and crescent-marked coin earn her favor; the faithful say her stare can mend a blinded child or strike blind a liar who wounds the helpless. She walks armored, for the same gaze that heals can pierce, and her bladed spear ends quarrels swiftly. No deceit survives her presence, no ambush goes unseen, and no devotee dies unwitnessed beneath her countless watchful eyes. To meet her stare with a clean heart is to be made whole; to meet it with malice is to be unmade by light.
Run Dalikmata in Sixty Seconds
- Open with Unblinding Light on the tightest cluster before melee closes — blinding the front rank robs them of their best turn and feeds your spear attacks.
- Kill-priority is ranged and casters: blinded enemies attack at disadvantage, so blind the archers and mages first and let your line eat the meleers.
- When bloodied, pivot to support: hold Mending Gaze and Unblinding Light's recharge to keep your flagship boss and party standing rather than trading blows.
- Three ways to run her: (1) blind-and-spear skirmisher up front; (2) backline healer who never lets an ally die unwitnessed; (3) gaze-anchor who pins one key threat with disadvantage every round.
- Remember she is an add-on: she has no legendary actions, so pair her with a real centerpiece — she is the eyes and the medic, not the executioner.
Dalikmata
Medium celestial, lawful good
CR 6 · 2,300 XP · GUIDELINEHundred-Eyed Vigil. Dalikmata's body bears countless watching eyes. She has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks, cannot be surprised, and attackers gain no benefit from being unseen against her. Any creature that starts its turn within 10 ft. of her and can see her must succeed on a DC 14 Charisma saving throw or have disadvantage on its next attack roll as her gaze pins it in place.
Healer of the Faithful. As long as Dalikmata has 1 hit point, allies within 30 ft. that can see her are immune to the blinded condition and have advantage on death saving throws.
Actions
Multiattack. Dalikmata makes two attacks with her crescent spear.
Crescent Spear. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8+3) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn.
Unblinding Light (Recharge 5-6). Dalikmata's eyes flare as one. Each creature of her choice in a 30-ft. cone must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) radiant damage and being blinded until the end of its next turn on a failure, or half as much damage and not blinded on a success.
Bonus Actions & Reactions
Mending Gaze (Reaction). When an ally Dalikmata can see within 30 ft. drops to 0 hit points, she may use her reaction to grant them 10 (3d6) hit points and end one condition affecting them.
A serene horned goddess in tribal mail strides forward, crescent spear leveled and round shield raised, her form crawling with countless watching eyes that pierce every shadow and falsehood.
Dalikmata, Bound
Companion · acts on your initiative
Bound · GUIDELINEShared Sight (signature). While within 30 ft. of Dalikmata, Dalikmata cannot be blinded and cannot be surprised, seeing through her many eyes.
Actions
Spirit Glaive. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage.
Reactions
Ward the Sightless. When an adjacent ally is targeted by an attack, Dalikmata imposes disadvantage on that attack roll, raising its glaive as a shield.
A lesser eye-spirit bound to the goddess's vigil, drifting at her flank to guard those she would heal.

How It Fights — by Tier
Same creature, scaled threat. The traits never change; only the numbers move.
Open with Unblinding Light to blind the cluster, then jab the blinded front-liner with the crescent spear. Kill-priority is whoever protects your party's healer; keep Mending Gaze ready. Pair her with a bigger boss as the heal-and-blind support piece, not a lone threat.
Open Unblinding Light into the densest cluster, then Multiattack the most blinded target. Hundred-Eyed Vigil punishes anyone who closes to melee, so let them come. Kill-priority: enemy spellcasters and archers, who lose accuracy while blinded. She is an add-on support boss; pair her with a melee flagship she can shield and heal.
Lead with Unblinding Light, then full Multiattack on the strongest blinded foe. Sustain the line with Mending Gaze every round a frontliner falls. Kill-priority: anything that strips her allies' sight or stuns her. She still plays as a high-tier support anchor beside a damage-dealing centerpiece, never solo.

How a bound creature acts
- A companion acts on its owner's initiative, immediately after the owner.
- It uses the Companion block above — roughly ×0.6 HP and damage, no recharge abilities, and at most one reaction trait.
- It moves freely; it takes its Action only while its owner is conscious.
- At 0 HP a companion is broken, not dead — restored on a long rest unless your table rules otherwise.

Questions, Asked at the Table
What CR is Dalikmata?
Her home stat block is CR 6 (2,300 XP), tuned for a level 5-10 party. The tiers array also gives a CR 2-ish version for levels 1-4 and a CR 11-ish version for levels 11-15; the traits and actions stay identical, only the numbers move.
Can Dalikmata be a companion or ally?
Yes. As a lawful good celestial healer she makes a natural patron or guardian ally. Run her with the included companion Mata-Diwata, or let her join the party as a temporary NPC whose Mending Gaze and anti-blind aura keep wounded heroes alive.
Why does she blind enemies but protect allies from blindness?
Dalikmata is the many-eyed goddess of sight in Philippine folklore, invoked to cure eye ailments. Her gaze heals the faithful and unblinds her allies, but turns punishing and searing against those who would harm the helpless — hence her radiant blinding strikes.
