The Grimoire Speaks
Beleth is the Thirteenth Spirit of the Ars Goetia, holding the rank of King in the infernal hierarchy. According to the Lesser Key of Solomon, Beleth commands 85 legions of inferior spirits and belongs to the order of Kings. This entity is among the nine Kings of the Goetia — the supreme rulers of Hell's legions.
Appearance
He rideth on a Pale Horse with Trumpets and other kinds of Musical Instruments playing before him. He is very furious at his first appearance, and the Exorcist must be courageous to withstand him.
Powers & Dominion
He causeth all the Love that may be, both of Men and of Women, until the Master Exorcist hath had his desire fulfilled.
Summoning & Constraints
A Silver Ring must be worn on the middle finger of the left hand, held against the face. He must be received with courtesy and given a place of honour, but the Magician must hold a Hazel Wand towards the South and East Quarters.
Historical Note
The seal and description of Beleth are drawn from the Ars Goetia, the first book of the Lemegeton (Lesser Key of Solomon), a 17th-century grimoire compiled from older Medieval and Renaissance sources. The 72 demons were said to have been conjured and bound by King Solomon using a brass vessel sealed with divine names. Each demon's seal, reproduced above, was used by the conjurer as a means of identification and control during the summoning ritual. Clay Cyanide's sculptural interpretations bring these ancient descriptions into three-dimensional form for the first time as presupported 3D printable STL miniatures.
