The Grimoire Speaks

Haures is the Sixty-fourth Spirit of the Ars Goetia, holding the rank of Duke in the infernal hierarchy. According to the Lesser Key of Solomon, Haures commands 36 legions of inferior spirits and belongs to the order of Dukes. As a Duke, Haures serves within the structured hierarchy beneath the Great Kings of the Goetia.

Appearance

He appeareth at first like a Mighty, Terrible, and Strong Leopard, but after a while, at the command of the Exorcist, he putteth on Human Shape with Eyes Flaming and Fiery, a most Terrible countenance.

Powers & Dominion

He giveth True Answers of all things, Present, Past, and to Come. He will destroy and burn up those Enemies of the Exorcist should he so desire it; also he will not suffer him to be tempted by any other Spirit or otherwise.

Summoning & Constraints

If he be not commanded into a Triangle, he will Lie in all these things, and deceive and beguile the Exorcist. He governeth 36 Legions of Spirits.

Historical Note

The seal and description of Haures are drawn from the Ars Goetia, the first book of the Lemegeton (Lesser Key of Solomon), a 17th-century grimoire compiled from older Medieval and Renaissance sources. The 72 demons were said to have been conjured and bound by King Solomon using a brass vessel sealed with divine names. Each demon's seal, reproduced above, was used by the conjurer as a means of identification and control during the summoning ritual. Clay Cyanide's sculptural interpretations bring these ancient descriptions into three-dimensional form for the first time as presupported 3D printable STL miniatures.
